STV will host its annual Children's Appeal live show on Friday.

The programme celebrates the culmination of a year of fundraising across Scotland.

Lorraine Kelly will host the show live on STV from Glasgow from 8pm-8.30pm and then again from 9pm-10pm.

She will be joined by David Farrell with links to Andrea Brymer and Chris Harvey in Aberdeen, David Shanks in Dundee and Nicola McAlley in Inverness.

The total sum raised by this year's appeal will be announced at the end of the show and on the STV News website.

Throughout Friday, various fundraising events have been taking place.

Lorraine and fellow TV presenter Ross King visited Big Scottish Breakfast events at schools and nurseries.

Ross went to Jordanhill Out of School Service, where he was treated to pancakes, a quiz and a 'toss the toast' challenge.

Meanwhile, Lorraine was accompanied by STV chief executive Simon Pitts at Help the Homeless in George Square to cook a free hot breakfast.

Elsewhere, STV presenter Jennifer Reoch visited St Elizabeth's Primary for a pyjama party over breakfast, before heading to Carmunnock Nursery and then Woodfarm High School.
