First look at Gerard Butler's new film shot in Scotland
The Hollywood star appears with Peter Mullan and newcomer Connor Swindells in Keepers.
The first image of Hollywood star Gerard Butler's new film shot in Scotland has been released as it heads to the Cannes Film Festival.
The Paisley-born actor appears alongside fellow Scot Peter Mullan and newcomer Connor Swindells in Keepers.
Danish film-maker Kristoffer Nyholm, who is behind TV series Taboo and The Killing, directs the trio in the movie which was filmed in the Mull of Galloway.
It focuses on an unsolved local legend, the Flannan Isle mystery, which saw three lighthouse keepers disappear in Boxing Day 1900.
The six-week shoot in Dumfries and Galloway has just finished, with three lighthouses across the region have being used.
Butler, who has featured in several Hollywood titles including 300, Law Abiding Citizen and Coriolanus, had posted a video on social media about it was good to be back filming in Scotland as it was "paradise".
Promoters released the first image of the film on Friday, as Protagonist Pictures takes it to Cannes this week where it plans to sell international rights to the work.
