Canadian actor Alan Thicke dies of a heart attack aged 69

Canadian actor Alan Thicke has died at the age of 69.
Thicke was best known for his leading role in the 1980s sitcom "Growing Pains" as well as being the father of singer Robin Thicke.
The Los Angeles Times, quoting Robin Thicke's publicist, said the actor died of a heart attack.
It was reported that Thicke was playing hockey with his son when he became ill.
He is survived by his wife, Tanya, and three sons, Robin, Brennan and Carter.
Celebrities who knew and worked with Thicke, including Ellen DeGeneres and Ryan Seacrest, posted tributes on Twitter.
