Len Goodman to leave Strictly Come Dancing after 12 years
The popular head judge will be leaving the show when the next series is over.
Len Goodman has announced he is leaving Strictly Come Dancing after the next series.
The 72-year-old has been head judge on the hit BBC show for 12 years, and has become a fan favourite over the years.
The cheeky ballroom dancer and teacher is best known for his witty comments to the celebrity contestants on the show.
He told broadcaster Jeremy Vine that his version of the jive was "like watching a stork who had been struck by lightning".
He complimented Jay McGuinness, singer from The Wanted, on his tango with professional partner Aliona Vilani, saying: "You were like a chess master, you plotted your way around that floor.
"That was a mango of a tango. Delicious."
He also called EastEnders actress Kellie Bright's bum "bionic" after she danced the salsa with Kevin Clifton.
