Chase & Status promise special guests for Mobos in Glasgow
Awards celebrate their 21st anniversary at the Hydro in November.
Electronic duo Chase & Status are set for a Glasgow date as the first act announced on this year's Mobo Awards ceremony bill.
The awards, which celebrate the UK's urban music and culture scene, are heading to the SSE Hydro for their 21st anniversary this year.
Chase & Status said: "The Mobos are a real institution and we're looking forward to bringing our live show and some very special guests to the stage."
The band has recently announced a UK tour for 2016 beginning on November 19, after the Mobo Awards on November 4.
Founder and CEO of the Mobo Organisation Kanya King MBE said: "This is only the beginning of our 21st anniversary celebration - we are preparing for a most memorable evening with the best talent and inspirational guests to continue our work started 21 years ago supporting diversity and inclusion.
"We have some great new initiatives on the way; it's all very exciting."
This is the fourth time the Mobos has been to Glasgow, making a first visit to Scotland in 2009. Previous events have been criticised for their use of unpaid interns, with a union calling in 2013 for all staff to be paid a minimum wage.
The Mobo Awards 2016 takes place on November 4 and will air live on ITV2, with a repeat show on STV.
