JK Rowling's handwriting to feature on woman's tattoo
The woman contacted the author via Twitter and made the unusual request.
JK Rowling's handwriting will feature on one woman's tattoo after she contacted the author via Twitter.
The woman, referred to on Twitter as "Kate", tweeted the Harry Potter creator "I really hope you see this @jk_rowling. it doesn't take long to read, I promise".
Attached to the tweet was a message detailing the woman's battle with bullying and attempted suicide.
She then goes on to ask the novelist to spell out fictional Patronus Charm "expecto patronum", a regular feature in the Potter books, using her own handwriting, so Kate could have it tattooed onto her wrist.
On the same day, May 11, millionaire author Rowling responded: "I love that you're working to heal and protect yourself. You deserve this. I hope it helps".
Attached to her message was her handwritten version of "expecto patronum".
