Bobby Ray Simmons Jr., better known as rapper B.o.B, has argued that the Earth is flat in a series of tweets.

The American rapper and music producer has posted various pictures and arguments supporting his case over the past few days.

The star, known for songs including Airplanes, told his 2.2 million Twitter followers: "No matter how high in elevation you are...the horizon is always eye level...sorry cadets...I didn't wanna believe it either."

B.o.B used numerous photos and drawings to make his point, saying: "Don't believe what I say, research what I say."

The 27-year-old also warned people they had been "tremendously deceived".

However, few fellow Twitter users appeared to agree with his theory.

He was forced to defend his stance and deny he was just trying to promote his music, adding he was "feeling fine".
