Man dies after plunging from third-floor flat window
Emergency services attended the incident after reports the man had fell at around 3am.
A man has died after falling from a third-floor window in Edinburgh.
Police are investigating the incident, which took place on Salisbury Road in the early hours of Tuesday.
Emergency services attended at around 3.15am and the injured man was taken to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, where he died a short time later.
The death is currently being treated as unexplained.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Police in Edinburgh are investigating following the death of a man in Salisbury Road.
"The incident happened around 3.15am on Tuesday, April 23, when the man was found to have fallen from a third-floor window.
"Police and emergency services attended and the man was taken to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, however he sadly passed away a short time later.
"Inquiries are currently ongoing and the death is being treated as unexplained."
