Man assaulted and robbed after gang break into house
Investigating officers are appealing for information following the incident.
A man has been assaulted and robbed by a gang who broke into his house during the night in Fife.
The 58-year-old was within the property on North Drum Street, Kelty just before midnight on Tuesday when several people entered and attacked him before stealing a mobile phone and other items.
Police are particularly wanting to trace one man who made off on foot after the robbery.
The stocky man who was wearing a grey hooded sweater pulled over his face ran off towards Keltyhill Road.
Detective Sergeant Christopher Dow from Dunfermline CID said: "Thankfully the victim was not seriously injured but he is understandably extremely shaken.
"We are keen to trace the suspect as soon as possible and would ask anyone with information that can help with our inquiries to get in touch.
"We believe he would have been in the area of North Drum Street shortly before 1 am and then a short time later in Keltyhill Road.
"Anyone who noticed anything suspicious in these areas around this time is asked to get in contact."
