Owners have been appointed for the new Edinburgh Marina development at Granton Harbour.

Camper and Nicholsons Marinas will own and operate the £500m waterside development.

It will include docks for 315 boats, a fully serviced boatyard and provide full-time access to the sea.

Camper and Nicholsons Marinas chief operating officer Dan Hughes said: "The new Edinburgh Marina is probably the most important new and exciting marina development in Europe in the last 25 years.

"We are delighted to have been chosen to design, manage and operate this new facility which will provide world class services to its customers".

Developer of Edinburgh Marina Holdings Ltd Kevin Fawcett, added: "This announcement of Camper and Nicholsons Marinas is great news. I am very pleased to welcome them on board.
