A flight was diverted to Glasgow Airport after a medical emergency was declared on board.

The Icelandair flight had been bound for Munich after leaving Reykjavik at 7.20am.

It declared a general emergency while over Edinburgh around 10.20am, with a passenger understood to have taken ill.

The Boeing 757 landed at Glasgow Airport shortly afterwards and the passenger was taken off the aircraft as a precaution.

It is now continuing the flight to Germany after refueling at the airport.
