A second man has been arrested over an alleged stabbing outside a theatre in Edinburgh.

A 41-year-old man was standing in an alcove of the King's Theatre on Tarvit Street, Edinburgh, when the incident took place at around 9.45pm on Thursday.

He was taken to hospital after suffering multiple injuries.

On Friday, a 42-year-old man was charged with attempted murder over the alleged attack.

Police Scotland have now announced that a second man, aged 54, has been arrested.

He is due to appear in court later on Wednesday.
