Queensferry Crossing walks hugely over-subscribed
Over 220,000 applications were made for the 50,000 briefs available for the event.
Transport Scotland is considering what else can be done to accommodate local communities after the ballot for places to walk across the Queensferry Crossing was massively over-subscribed.
There were more than 220,000 applications for the 50,000 available tickets for the walks on September 2 to 3.
The Queen is due to officially open the crossing on September 4, with the date marking the 53rd anniversary of the Forth Road Bridge.
One idea is to introduce an increased number of events in a bid to try to satisfy more members of the community.
A spokesman said further announcements on tickets would be made at the start of August.
