Death of woman at train station causes rush hour delays
Rail passengers experienced continued disruption on Thursday morning.
The death of a woman at a railway station has led to rush hour train delays.
The incident occurred at South Gyle railway station in Edinburgh at 9.30pm on Wednesday.
The line between Inverkeithing and Haymarket was closed until 11.30pm, after the woman was hit and killed by the train.
Edinburgh, Perth and Dundee services continued to face disruption on Thursday morning.
Replacement transport has been arranged for some of the affected routes.
A police spokesman said: "Police Scotland can confirm a woman died in an incident at South Gyle railway station at about 9.30pm on Wednesday. Enquiries are ongoing."
