Two men rescued after falling asleep on boat in harbour
Lifeboat crew from Dunbar woke up the sleeping duo on their way to the Isle of Wight.
Lifeboat crews in Dunbar were involved in a rather unusual early morning rescue after making a surprise discovery.
Volunteers were called to deal with a seemingly unmanned boat drifting in the harbour only to find two people sleeping inside.
Two crewmen onboard were unaware their vessel has slipped its mooring and started moving out from the East Lothian port.
The duo, who were heading from Fraserburgh to the Isle of Wight were grateful for the lifeboar crew's intervention.
Both men were taken to Dunbar's boathouse by 7.40am with the boat inspected and ready for sailing soon afterwards.
