An old theatre is playing host to an innovative art festival this weekend.

Leith Theatre will transform into a house for live music, theatre spaces, bars, a cinema and a multitude of exhibition and installation spaces.

The Hidden Doors festival aims to showcase the best new creative work in Scotland.

Among the musical highlights are Glasgow/London trio Dama Scout as well as award winning alto-saxophonist and MC Soweto Kinch.

Artist Rachel Hendry will bring her mix of animation, installation, architecture and sound to the festival.

The best contemporary Scottish, UK and international short films will also be showcased at the venue as part of Edinburgh's annual short film festival.
