Teenager pushed to ground and robbed of wallet by gang
The 16-year-old and friends were approached by 15 youths at a bus stop in Edinburgh.
A 16-year-old boy was robbed after being approached by a gang of 15 youths.
The teenager was standing with friends at a bus stop on Roseburn Terrace, Edinburgh, at about 11.25pm on Saturday night when they were approached by the gang of teenagers.
A fight broke out between the two groups of boys and the victim was pushed to the ground before being assaulted by three of the gang and having money taken from his wallet.
The suspects then walked off along Roseburn Terrace.
Officers investigating the incident are keen to speak to a taxi driver and his passenger who stopped to pick up the victim and his friends after the assault.
The 16-year-old suffered minor injuries but did not require any medical treatment.
All three suspects have been described as white and being 16 to 17 years old.
The first suspect the police wish to trace is around 5ft 5in with a skinny build, and short blonde hair.
At the time of the assault he was wearing a white Nike hooded tracksuit top with a Nike tick on the right shoulder, black cotton tracksuit bottoms and black and white trainers.
The second is 5ft 10in with a lanky build and light brown hair longer on top and shaved at the sides.
He was believed to be wearing a baggy navy cotton tracksuit.
The third had an average build, was about 5ft 9in and was wearing a grey hoodie and tight grey tracksuit bottoms.
Detective sergeant Robbie Wallace from Corstorphine CID said: "I'm appealing for the taxi driver to come forward as we believe that he may have information that can assist police in the investigation.
"Although the victim didn't sustain any serious injury, this attack resulted in him being assaulted and personal possessions taken."
