A man has been charged following a collision on the outskirts of Edinburgh last year which killed two people.

The three-car crash took place on the A68, on the approach road to the Edinburgh city bypass near Pathhead, Midlothian, on July 8.

Jenna Tindall, 29, and Marc Edwards, 26, were travelling in the same car and were pronounced dead at the scene.

Another man was seriously injured in the collision, which involved a Vauxhall Corsa, Vivaro van and Mercedes C Class.

The man who has been charged, a 29-year-old, will appear in court at a later date.

A spokesman for Police Scotland said: "We can confirm that a 29-year-old man has been charged following a fatal road traffic collision at the A68 Millerhill junction, near to the Edinburgh city bypass."
