CCTV appeal after gang attack men in Edinburgh city centre
Two victims were targeted by the group of three men in the Grassmarket in November.
CCTV images have been released by police hunting a gang who attacked two men in Edinburgh city centre.
One of the victims was punched several times in the Grassmarket, suffering serious facial injuries as a result.
Police released an image of three men on Friday, who they are seeking in connection with the incident.
The two victims, both aged 21, were walking towards King Stables Road when they were attacked between 1.30am and 1.45am on Sunday, November 27.
While one suffered serious injuries, the other man who was assaulted was not hurt during the incident.
Detective constable Andy Cory said: "We've conducted numerous enquiries in the area since the incident but are today appealing for the public's help.
"Anyone who recognises these men is urged to contact us as soon as possible."
Police said the first attacker is described as in his 20s, 5ft 10in, of medium build with black hair, stubble and was wearing a light blue long-sleeved shirt and black trousers.
The second man was also in his 20s, 5ft 7in, of slim build with dark hair and was wearing a light jumper with dark jeans.
According to the police, the third suspect was also in his 20s, 6ft, of medium build with dark hair, and was wearing a black shirt with black trousers.
