Forestry worker dies after incident in Scottish Borders

A forestry worker has died following an incident in the Scottish Borders.
Mountain rescuers and paramedics were called to Tweed Valley on Tuesday night.
An air ambulance was also dispatched but the man died of his injuries at the scene.
A spokesman for the Tweed Valley Mountain Rescue Team said: "The team were called out today to assist the Scottish Ambulance Service with the extraction of an injured forestry worker from difficult terrain.
"Unfortunately the casualty's injuries were severe and despite a multi-agency the casualty died of his injuries at the scene.
"All involved are deeply saddened by this tragic outcome and our thoughts are with the family of the deceased."
