CCTV appeal after young boy racially abused on Lothian bus
Police want to speak to two men over incident on number 25 in Edinburgh in March last year.
CCTV images have been released of two men police want to speak to after a boy was racially abused on a bus in Edinburgh.
The incident happened on board a number 25 Lothian Bus travelling from Restalrig Road bound for the city centre.
More than ten months on from the incident on March 13, 2016, police are still trying to trace the people responsible.
The first man is described as white, in his early 30s, between 5ft 8in and 5ft 10in, with messy dark hair and a Scottish accent.
The second man in the pictures is also white but believed to be older, possibly in his early 40s. He spoke with a local accent and was between 5ft 8in and 5ft 10in with messy brown hair and acne scarred skin.
Constable Steven Gilroy, of Leith police station, said: "The men pictured in this CCTV footage are of interest to our ongoing investigation and I ask anyone who recognises them to contact police immediately.
"There's no place for intolerance in modern society and we take a zero tolerance view towards anyone who carries out such offences.
"Rest assured that we treat all reports with the utmost seriousness and will investigate all complaints that are passed to us."
