Pensioner charged after teenager sexually assaulted on bus
A 68-year-old man has been arrested after a 17-year-old girl was attacked in East Lothian.
A pensioner has been charged after a teenage girl was sexually assaulted on a bus in East Lothian.
Police said a 68-year-old man had been arrested in connection with an attack on a 17-year-old girl on the Number 107 East Coast Bus.
The alleged incident took place on December 14 as the bus travelled between Haddington and Dunbar.
Chief inspector Matt Paden, area commander for East Lothian, said: "I want to take this opportunity to thank the public and the bus company for their support and assistance as we carried out our enquiries.
"All reports of sexual offences are treated with the utmost seriousness and I want to assure everyone that we will use all resources at our disposal to investigate these."
A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
