Woman in Santa jumper hunted after two hurt in brawl near bar
Two men charged over disturbance outside bar on Rose Street in Edinburgh on Friday night.
A woman wearing a Santa jumper is being hunted by police after two people were attacked outside a bar.
Two men, aged 36 and 28, have been charged as part of an investigation into the disturbance outside a bar on Rose Street in Edinburgh on Friday night.
The incident happened at around 9:30pm near to the Rose Street Brewery and 33-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man were taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh with serious injuries.
Officers are now keen to trace two women who were seen in the area. The first is described as white, around 5ft 8in tall, in her early 20's, with long blonde hair.
She was wearing a white jacket, black trousers and a grey Christmas jumper, which had Santa on its front.
The second woman is also white, approximately 5ft 8ins tall and in her early 20s. She wore a cream coloured jacket, jeans, black knee high boots with a zip on their side and a black shoulder bag.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or who can identify either woman is asked to come forward.
Detective sergeant Andy MacRae, of Gayfield CID, said: "We know that many of the pubs and restaurants in the area were busy with people enjoying a night out or a Christmas party and I'm today urging anyone who witnessed this disturbance to contact police immediately."
