Man arrested in Essex over 'attempted murder' in pub

A man has been charged with attempted murder after an alleged stabbing in an Edinburgh pub.
A 28-year-old man was seriously injured at the Mechanic Arms on Drum Street, Gilmerton, on Sunday.
He was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary with chest injuries.
Officers arrested a 60-year-old man in Essex on Wednesday.
He is expected to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court to face a charge of attempted murder on Friday.
