Motorcyclist injured after crash with car in Edinburgh

A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital after a crash with a car in Edinburgh.
The crash took place on Sir Harry Lauder Road in Portobello at about 3.25pm on Monday.
It caused severe tailbacks for drivers across east Edinburgh.
Police said the motorcyclist was "conscious and breathing" when he was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.
The road was closed in both directions and officers at the scene directed traffic.
