Man stabbed in chest during attack at Edinburgh pub
Officers are appealing for information after the incident on Sunday afternoon.
A man is in hospital with chest injuries after a stabbing in an Edinburgh pub.
The incident took place in the Mechanic Arms on Drum Street, Gilmerton, on Sunday afternoon.
Witnesses are being urged to come forward with information about the incident, which officers described as a "serious assault".
A police spokesman said: "A 28-year-old man sustained an injury to his chest and was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment.
"His injury is not believed to be life-threatening at this time and inquiries into the full circumstances surrounding this incident are ongoing.
"Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 or make an anonymous report to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
