Charity targeted by vandals twice in less than a week
Pilton Equalities Project in Edinburgh had a bus and van damaged in the attacks.
A charity supporting the elderly and people with disabilities has been targeted by vandals twice in a week.
The Pilton Equalities Project (PEP) offers transport and events to isolated residents across north Edinburgh.
Vandals attacked one of the charity's buses and a worker's van twice since Wednesday, causing around £1500 of damage.
PEP manager Helen Tait said the vandalism was the latest in a string of attacks over the years.
She said drivers had worked hard to ensure any charity users were not affected.
A spokesman for Police Scotland said: "The first of these incidents happened overnight between Wednesday, November 16, and Thursday, November 17, when a van had its rear windows smashed as it sat within the Morrisons car park off Ferry Road.
"A minibus was also targeted resulting in its front windows being smashed.
"This was followed only days later when vandals targeted the same vehicles in very similar circumstances sometime between 5pm on Sunday, November 20, and the following morning.
"Enquiries into these matters are ongoing and anyone who has information is requested to contact police on 101."
