The search for a missing French student in Edinburgh will continue until police have "exhausted all search parameters".

Antoine Maury has not been seen since he left his friends near Edinburgh College on Milton Road East more than a fortnight ago on Monday, October 24.

It is believed the 21-year-old was spotted at around 10.45pm, shortly after his friends last saw him, running near Duddingston village with no shirt on.

Concerns grew for Mr Maury when his jacket, jumper, hat and phone were found on Cavalry Park Drive behind Holy Rood High.

Officers said there had been an "enormous" public response to the appeal to find Mr Maury.

Around 100 people turned out to support a search for him in Holyrood Park and specialist police teams have combed Duddingston Loch but no trace of him has been found.

Officers renewed their appeal for anyone who was in Holyrood Park around the time of Mr Maury's disappearance to get in touch, even if they did not see him.

Inspector Alan Carson of Edinburgh Division said: "I would again appeal to anyone who may have information to come forward.

"We are interested in speaking to anyone who was in Holyrood Park between the hours of 10.30pm and 11.30pm on Monday, October 24, whether they saw Antoine or not.

"Equally, we are keen to hear from anyone that was in the areas around Duddingston Village, Duddingston Loch or Prestonfield Golf Club the following day, Tuesday October 25, who may have seen or heard anything unusual."

He added: "Even the smallest amount of information may be the key to helping us find him.

"This is still a live investigation and we will carry on our search until we have exhausted our search parameters."

Officers have carried out door-to-door enquiries in the Duddingston and Pollock Halls areas, and reviewed CCTV to find any trace of Mr Maury.

Anyone with information should contact police on 101.
