A rare customised mini motorbike has been stolen in a ram raid at a specialist garage in West Lothian.

The thieves drove a vehicle into the Big Dawg Customs building at East Mains industrial estate, Broxburn, in the early hours of Thursday.

Five men stole the motorbike - which had red and black tartan paintwork design - from inside the building before fleeing at around 2.35am.

The suspects were wearing jogging bottoms and hooded tops with their faces covered.

Detective constable Craig Waddell from Livingston CID said: "In addition to causing significant damage to the property, those responsible also stole a unique custom motorcycle and the owners of the business are extremely eager to have this returned.

"It is likely that those responsible will look to sell the bike on and I would ask that if you are approached and offered the opportunity to buy the vehicle then please contact police immediately.

"We would also request that anyone who saw any suspicious activity around the East Mains Industrial Estate in the early hours of Thursday morning, or who can help us identify the suspects, gets in touch to assist with our investigation."

Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
