Teenager faces string of charges over 'hit and run' in Edinburgh

A teenager has appeared in court charged with assault and a string of motoring offences after an alleged hit and run in Edinburgh.
A 41-year-old man suffered serious leg injuries in the incident on Oxgangs Gardens last Monday.
Keenan Watson, 18, was arrested in connection with the case earlier this week.
He appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Tuesday for a brief hearing on petition.
Watson faces charges including assault to severe injury, driving without a licence or insurance and failing to stop at the scene of an accident.
He made no plea or declaration and the case was committed for further examination.
Watson, whose address was given as Edinburgh, was released on bail to await the date of a second hearing.
