Two men have been arrested following an armed robbery at a pharmacy in West Lothian.

The robbery took place at Kirknewton Pharmacy, which also provides Post Office services, around 4pm on Monday.

Cash and other items were stolen during the raid and a police helicopter was called out after the suspects fled the scene.

On Tuesday, Police Scotland announced two men had been arrested and are due to appear at Livingston Sheriff Court on Wednesday.

Officers said investigations were ongoing to identify other people thought to have been involved in the incident.
