Boy seriously assaulted near walkway in West Lothian

A teenager suffered facial injuries in a serious assault in West Lothian.
The incident happened near the A71 underpass between Muireston and Dedridge, Livingston, at around 5pm on Friday.
The 15-year-old victim was approached by two males, both believed to be in their late teens, before one of the suspects assaulted him, knocking him to the ground.
The boy, suffering from a facial injury as a result of the attack, was then helped home by an unidentified man. He was later taken to nearby St John's Hospital for treatment.
Both attackers are described as white, around 5ft 10in, of medium builds. The man who carried out the attack is believed to have been wearing a light blue, hooded top.
Police would also like to speak to the man who assisted the victim after the incident.
Detective constable Craig Waddell of Livingston CID said: "This was a frightening and upsetting attack on a young man and we are eager to trace to two males responsible as soon as possible.
"We would also call on the man who came to the aid of the 15-year-old to come forward to help us progress our enquiries.
"Anyone who was in the area at the time, or who recognises the description of the suspects, is asked to come forward immediately."
