Body discovered in park identified as 20-year-old woman
Officers do not believe the death of the woman in Dunfermline was suspicious.
The death of a woman whose body was found in a Fife park is not suspicious, police have said.
The 20-year-old was discovered in Headwell Park, near Headwell Road in Dunfermline, on Wednesday morning.
Police did not name the woman, but said they were supporting her family.
A spokeswoman said: "Police in Fife were called to Headwell Road in Dunfermline around 7.30am on Wednesday, October 5 after the body of a 20-year-old woman was found.
"Next of kin have now been traced and officers are supporting them at this difficult time.
"Enquiries into the death are ongoing, however there are not currently believed to be any suspicious circumstances."
