A man has been arrested after police recovered a stash of Class A drugs in West Lothian.

Officers recovered 1.5kg of amphetamine and over half a kilo of heroin after they raided an address in Riddochill Road, Blackburn, on Tuesday.

Police Scotland claimed the total value of the drugs is around £62,500.

A 47-year-old man has been charged under the Misuse of Drugs Act in connection with the find. He is expected to appear in court on Wednesday.

Chief inspector Stevie Dolan said: "Once again, the law abiding members of our communities have made it abundantly clear that they will not tolerate drug crime in their area and have provided us with vital intelligence, which resulted in this sizeable drugs recovery.

"Tackling drug offences is a policing priority here in West Lothian and whenever information from the public is received it is investigated and acted upon accordingly."
