A man has appeared in court in connection with a fire at Edinburgh Central Mosque.

Thomas Conington, 28, appeared on petition at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday charged with wilful fire-raising aggravated by religious and racial prejudice.

He was also charged with an offence under the Explosive Substances Act.
