Three seriously injured after three-car crash on Fife road
The B921 has been closed between Kinglassie and Cardenden after the collision.
Three people have been seriously injured after a road crash in Fife.
Police said three cars collided around 2.30pm on Thursday on the B921 between Kinglassie and Cardenden.
A 62-year-old woman driving a Citroen and her young female passenger were seriously injured and taken to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy along with another female passenger, who suffered minor injuries.
A 42-year-old man who was driving a BMW also suffered serious injuries and was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary. Two women who were passengers in the car suffered minor injuries but did not require treatment at hospital.
The third car involved was a Jaguar being driven by a 75-year-old man, who received minor injuries.
Police have closed the road and are asking for any witnesses to come forward.
Inspector Brenda Sinclair said: "The road between Kinglassie and Cardenden will be closed for some time to allow for investigations at the scene.
"I would ask anyone who was on the road at the time and witnessed the collision to contact us immediately.
"In addition, anyone with any further information relevant to our inquiries should also get in touch."
