Driver approaches ten-year-old girl on Edinburgh street
Police investigating report of 'suspicious behaviour' by man in his 50s near Harrison Park.
A driver in his fifties approached a ten-year-old girl on a street in Edinburgh, sparking a police investigation.
The girl was spoken to by a man driving a car thought to be a Land Rover on Ogilvie Terrace near Harrison Park at about 6pm on Friday.
The man had a local accent and was bald. Officers have appealed for anyone with information on the incident to come forward.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Police in Edinburgh are investigating a report of suspicious behaviour, which took place at around 6pm on Friday, May 13.
"At the corner of Ogilvie Terrace, a ten-year-old girl was spoken to by the driver of what was thought to be a Land Rover.
"The driver is described as white, in his early 50s, 5ft 5in or 7in tall, of average build, clean shaven with a shaved head and a local accent.
"Enquiries are ongoing into the full circumstances surrounding this.
