Two men have been charged after police seized heroin worth £150,000 from a flat in Edinburgh.

The 28-year-old and 58-year-old were arrested following a raid at Citadel Court in Leith on Tuesday.

Officers seized diamorphine with a street value of £150,000 and associated paraphernalia.

The men appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Wednesday.

Detective inspector Alan O'Brien said: "This is a significant quantity of drugs that have been taken out of circulation. The supply and misuse of drugs is a priority for police in the north of Edinburgh.”

He appealed for anyone with information about drug dealing to contact local officers on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
