After two weeks, Wimbledon has come to an end.

The world-famous tennis tournament has been an interesting watch this year, as two-time winner Andy Murray pulled out of the event hours before it was due to start.

Despite the Scot swapping his racket for a microphone as he offered commentary on the competition, it has still been an exciting watch.

As the men's final draws the event to a close, what better way to celebrate than with some strawberries, Pimm's or even a glass of champagne.

To switch things up, here are some alternative ways to enjoy classic treats served up at the tennis tournament.

Strawberries

Strawberries are synonymous with Wimbledon and rightly so, with 1.4 million strawberries eaten at Wimbledon each year.

While they may usually be paired with cream at the event, there are other ways to enjoy the sweet soft fruit.

Basil pairs unusually well with strawberry and serving this tart up at a Wimbledon-themed party is sure to get people talking.

For something that little kids may enjoy making and sharing, how about this very pink and sweet berry rocky road?

Filled with cherries, marshmallows, fresh strawberries and crispy cereal, these squares are bound to be a hit with kids and adults alike.

Pimm's

Cool tall glasses of Pimm's are incredibly popular at the tennis tournament, usually muddled with cucumber, mint and strawberries and topped with lemonade.

In fact, more than 280,000 glasses of Pimm's were enjoyed throughout the championship in 2016

Those looking for something a little fancier can enjoy a Pimms Royal Cup, which is topped off with champagne.

Yet the flavours of Pimm's can be enjoyed in other ways. How about this Pimm's cake, packed with fresh fruity flavours and drizzled with a homemade syrup made with the spirit.

For something a little lighter to tuck into during the final, why not prepare these sweet jelly jars in advance?

Made with apple juice and a splash of the alcoholic spirit, they also come with a cooling cream layer - perfect if the weather picks up.

Champagne

A cool, crisp glass of champagne is a popular drink at Wimbledon, with Lanson the official fizz of the tournament.

Since 1977, the champagne has been closely associated with Wimbledon and it is now considered to be very much a part of the Wimbledon experience.

For a different way to enjoy some bubbles, a champagne granita is a delicious and cooling treat to enjoy when things are heating up on centre court.

A fun alternative are these jelly shots, which incorporate sparkling rose wine to add bubbles to these glasses.

Serve with spoons , these quirky glasses would make a refreshing treat whilst watching the tennis.
