Friendsfest has arrived in Glasgow to give Friends fans a peek behind the scenes of the world-famous sitcom.

The city's Victoria Park has been transformed into New York where the show was set and is full of Friends themed fun for fans to enjoy.

The travelling event, organised by Comedy Central UK which airs Friends and The Luna Cinema, has come to Scotland for the first time this year.

"Friendsfest is an event which is all things Friends related, if you're a massive fan of the show you're going to love it," explains Amanda Brown from Comedy Central UK.

"We've recreated various sets from the show including Central Perk, Chandler and Joey's apartment, the corridor leading into Monica's and new for this year we've got Ross's apartment.

"We've got loads of photo opportunities and experiences from the show itself for people to enjoy."

Fans can don a wedding dress and head to the Las Vegas chapel of love where Ross and Rachel got married, recreate the famous 'pivot' scene and pose for photographs on the sofa from the title sequence by the fountain.

Food vendors also have Friends themed snacks on offer, including a cheesecake van, a pizza stall with a Joey special and even Mocklate, which Monica tried to make recipes with in one episode.

Cocktails named after famous quotes in the series are also on offer as well as a coffee shop modelled after Central Perk.

"We've got the main stage playing clips from the show all day, so you can sit back, relax and enjoy the atmosphere," Amanda adds.

The event will run until Sunday, July 15 and tickets are still available from the Friendsfest website.

"We're so pleased we got to bring Friendsfest to Glasgow this year, we know there are loads of Friends fans in the city so it felt like the right location," Amanda says.

"From the looks of everyone on site, everyone seems to be having a great time."
