Temperatures on Thursday are expected to reach 31C in some places while Wednesday will rise to 30C.
Areas including Inverness and Glasgow are to be the hottest places on Wednesday, with Stirling and Aberfoyle experiencing the warmest temperatures on Thursday.
Scotland could be looking at its warmest June weather since 1995.
STV weather presenter Sean Batty said: "Scotland will experience unusually high temperatures in the coming days with a high possibility of exceeding 30C in a few spots.
"Wednesday and Thursday look like the hottest days with the mercury soaring to the high 20s widely with the warmest spots tending to be in the north and west of the country.
"Deeside, Aviemore, Inverness, Loch Ness and Glasgow are likely to be the top hots posts on Wednesday with temperatures likely to reach between 28C and 30C."
Travel disruption has already been caused due to the warm weather.
A speed restriction was put in place on trains running between Glasgow Central and Lanark.
Sean added: "On Thursday, it'll be similar areas with the highest temperatures, with the likes of Stirling, Callander and Aberfoyle joining in.
"Temperatures on Thursday could be higher than Wednesday with a few spots exceeding 30C."
The heatwave comes two months after 27C was recorded in Achnagart in north west Scotland, the hottest of the year so far.
