A cyclist has been seriously injured after coming off his bike near Fort William.

The 51-year-old man was travelling with other riders on the B8004 at Banavie around 1.25pm on Monday when the incident happened.

He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Glasgow where his condition is described as serious.

"Our enquiries are ongoing and I would ask anyone with information who has not yet spoken to us to call 101."
