A missing teenager has been knifed after being found with a 45-year-old man at a Scots train station.

Jessica Roe, 17, was discovered with Stuart Lymer at Perth train station on Monday after the pair went missing.

The teenager was last seen getting into a van outside a Tesco in Cannock, Staffordshire, at 1pm on Friday.

STV News understands both were rushed to hospital by police after a knife attack.

The Scottish Ambulance Service were not called.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "We are liaising with the Crown Office. An update will be provided in due course."

A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: "We are restricted in what we can say at the moment. Any comment is going through the Crown Office."

During the search, detective inspector Alan Lyford said: "We have genuine concerns for Jessica's safety, particularly whilst she is in the company of Lymer.

"There is no suggestion that Jessica was forcibly taken, however we need to bring her home to ensure she is safe."
