Concerns mounting for missing man with Alzheimer's
Thomas Lister, 71, was last seen around 8am on Monday at an address in Edinburgh.
Concerns are mounting for the welfare of a missing Edinburgh pensioner.
Thomas Lister, 71, was last seen around 8am on Monday at an address in Moredun Park.
He has not been seen since and was reported missing to police on Tuesday.
Mr Lister is white and has a slight build. He is around 5ft 2 in height, balding and has an unkempt beard.
He is believed to be wearing green corduroy trousers, a grey sports jacket, a sweater with a short zip at the neck, a lime green coloured shirt and black shoes.
Thomas lives with Alzheimer's disease and may appear to be confused.
Inspector David Tench said: "Thomas lives with Alzheimer's disease and as such we are eager to locate him as soon as possible to ensure he is alright.
"He has now been missing for more than 24 hours and we are growing very concerned for his welfare. Poor weather is expected tonight and we are eager to trace Thomas before conditions worsen.
"I would ask anyone who believes they have seen him since 8am on Monday morning to contact police immediately.
"In addition anyone with any further information that can assist with our inquiries is also asked to get in touch."
