Andy Murray urges Scots to join Kiltwalk fundraiser
The tennis star is supporting events taking place across Scotland later this year.
Andy Murray has urged Scots to take part in one of the country's biggest annual fundraisers.
Murray, who underwent hip surgery in Melbourne on Monday, is supporting the Kiltwalk.
The events take place in Glasgow, Aberdeen, Edinburgh and from St Andrews to Dundee later this year.
Some of the money raised is distributed through the STV Children's Appeal, the official grant-making partner of the event.
Tennis legend Murray, a three-time grand slam winner, has recorded a video message, asking: "Why don't you get your kilt on for the Kiltwalk?"
The Kiltwalk, backed by Sir Tom Hunter, attracted 14,000 walkers in 2017 and raised £2.5m for nearly 800 charities across Scotland.
Paul Cooney, chief executive of the Kiltwalk, said: "Huge thanks to the inspirational Andy Murray for his ringing endorsement of the Kiltwalk and we hope it encourages you to get your kilt on and sign up for one of the four walks this year."
