Paul Hartley to be confirmed as new Falkirk manager
The ex-Dundee boss will be unveiled at a press conference on Wednesday evening.
Former Alloa Athletic and Dundee boss Paul Hartley will be appointed as the new manager of Falkirk.
The ex-Scotland international is expected to sign a three-year deal with the Championship club to replace Peter Houston.
The Championship club have called a press conference for 7pm.
Ex-Celtic, Hearts and Scotland midfielder Hartley led Alloa to successive promotions and then took Dundee into the Premiership.
He also secured a top-six finish with the Dens Park club and finished eighth last season.
Former Ross County manager Jim McIntyre also held talks with Falkirk to succeed Houston, who left the club last month after a poor start to the season.
Hartley, 40, won two top flight titles, the Scottish Cup and League Cup during his time at Celtic.
He also lifted the Scottish Cup with Hearts, the First Division with Hibernian and was capped 25 times by Scotland.
Hartley was appointed Alloa manager in May 2011 and won the Third Division followed by a Second/First Division play-off.
He joined Dundee in February 2014 and led the Dark Blues to the Scottish Championship title.
The club finished sixth on their Scottish Premiership return and eight last season.
Hartley was sacked in April as the club dropped into the relegation zone.
