New centre for troubled students opens in Kilmarnock
The school is an SQA accredited centre.
A new school for children with behavioural issues has opened in Kilmarnock.
The Common Thread education centre caters for students from eight to 18 who have experienced significant trauma, neglect or abuse.
They aim to provide an educational experience that will enable learners to re-enter mainstream education as confident and successful individuals.
Pupils will have access to a broad and wide curriculum which will focus on each individual's ambitions through one-on-one learning and small group participation.
It is the third centre the group has opened in Scotland, with two other locations in Falkirk and Dumfries.
The school is an SQA accredited centre, with all teachers registered with the General Council of Teachers Scotland.
