Lee McCulloch believes Stuart Findlay left Scotland as a boy and has returned a man after sealing a second loan spell with Kilmarnock.

The 21-year-old has joined on a six-month loan deal from Newcastle, having enjoyed a loan spell with Killie in 2015/16 while contracted to Celtic.

McCulloch feels the former Scotland U21 international has grown as a player and person in his time at St James' Park.

He said: "He has been here before, so knows the club and fans.

"He came from a big club in Celtic, came through their youth system, went down to Newcastle where they just extended his deal and he's played with their first team and he's now with us.

"(I am) delighted to have him on board, he's great in the dressing room.

"The boys gave him a great reception this morning when he turned up and he adds a bit of aggressiveness and pace to the back four.

"To be honest he said to me he thought he did all right first time he was with the club, but I feel he's gone down there and become a man."
