Man shot and arrested after Finland stabbing frenzy
At least six people believed to be injured after incident in Turku city centre.
Police in Finland say they have shot and apprehended a suspect after several people were stabbed.
The stabbings took place in the western city of Turku, 90 miles west of Helsinki.
Police say one person has been apprehended after he was shot in the leg, but they are looking for more potential suspects.
Prime Minister Juha Sipila said the government was closely monitoring the ongoing police operation.
Finnish broadcaster YLE says several people were seen lying on the ground in the central part of the city.
Local media has reported six people have been injured - one man and five women - and that a woman with stroller was attacked by a man with a large knife.
Finnish police Tweeted following the incident telling people to stay away from the centre of the city.
The condition of the victims has not yet been revealed.
