The ferry towed the yacht to safety on Sunday afternoon.
A Calmac ferry was involved in a dramatic rescue of a yacht on Sunday afternoon.
The Arran Coastguard was asked to assist the MV Catriona in Lochranza, where a yacht had lost power in its engine.
The ferry, which services the route between Lochranza and Claonaig, towed the yacht to safety with help from the coastguard team.
A spokesperson for the Arran Coastguard and Rescue Team said: "We were tasked at 2.35pm by Belfast Coastguard to meet the Calmac ferry Catriona and help secure a yacht she was towing into Lochranza.
"The skill of the crew and skipper of the ferry ensured that this was done with the utmost efficiency ensuring that the yacht was safely moored alongside the pontoon by the members of the Arran Coastguard Rescue Team."
